q Shiptec China - the premier maritime Exhibition in northeast asia

For the past 12 years since 1998, the biennial Shiptec China has been playing an important role in strengthening links and cooperation between China and international maritime industry, and in maintaining a healthy and sustained development of the industry on this part of the world. It’s grown to be one of the leading maritime shows in Northeast Asia. 

In 2010, its previous edition attracted 436 exhibitors from over 19 countries and regions on total exhibition area of 20,300 square meters. More than 10,000 visitors were recorded during the 3 days exhibition and forums, academic conference and seminars. In spite of the temporary downturn in the industry, it has achieved keeping the number of visitors and exhibitors the same as in Shiptec China 2008. Varied activities and conferences were also successfully held alongside the main in-hall exhibition, including the Senior Forum on green ship, technical seminars, Sino-Danish Offshore Engineering Forum, Class Networking, press salon, business meetings and the visit to local shipyards etc. 

The 8th edition of Shiptec China is scheduled to take place from 23 October to 26 October 2012 at Dalian World Expo Center in Dalian, China, the beautiful seashore city which is well known for historically being a famous shipbuilding base and geographically being the center of the world’s three leading shipbuilding nations of China, South Korea and Japan. Shiptec China 2012 is expecting over 500 exhibitors including more national pavilions，class societies，shipyards and marine equipment suppliers. We will set up two featured exhibit areas of Offshore Engineering and Ship Financing. Matchmakings will be arranged for exhibitors to meet more invited ship owners，procurement managers of participating shipyards and also trade dealers in this region.
